Meet Jasmine: The Badass Doula
You are a badass and you deserve the kick-ass, badass birth of your dreams! I offer childbirth classes and doula services to help you achieve exactly that. A little about me... I'm 38 years old. I'm married to my hunky hubby who happens to be an acupuncturist. Together we have two homemade children (one hospital birth with an epi, one home waterbirth). We also were foster parents for eight years and we fostered 20 children and adopted four. If you've lost count: that's six kids in our family now. Plus several former foster kiddos who still come around quite often. How do I do it all? I'm a badass woman who gets shit done. Just like you.
My Philosophy
My philosophy is that my philosophy doesn't matter: this is your body, your baby, and your birth. It's all about you! You want to plan your Cesearean birth three months in advance so you can arrange your life around that date? Cool. I'll be there to hold your hand (or not ... it's up to you). You want to give birth in your bathtub surrounded by wildflowers and candlelight? Sweet, I'll light the candles myself. The only births I won't attend are those that are intentionally "free births" or "unattended births" (births without a qualified and licensed medical provider). No judgement, but my credentialing body and insurance both won't allow it. Otherwise, I'm game for just about anything!

In-person Doula: $1150
Available to those in the Chicagoland area, this option includes full-service in-person doula services and support throughout your pregnancy, labor, birth, and immediate postpartum period. It includes the private birth planning session and private comfort measures session listed below, both in the comfort of your home or my office in Arlington Heights (whichever you prefer). It also includes unlimited text support throughout your pregnancy, and 24-hour on-call availability for your labor and birth with my in-person, hands-on support at your home, hospital, or preferred location. You'll also receive a $50 discount on any birthing class that I offer.
Virtual Doula: $450
This is a great option for those who aren't in the Chicagoland area, who have a lower budget, or who just don't feel the need for in-person hands-on support. It includes everything in the in-person doula package, but everything takes place over Zoom or Facetime, including actual live on-call support throughout your labor.
Private Birth Planning Session: $125
In this 2-hour session we go through a very detailed birth plan together. I'll explain all your options so you can make informed and empowered choices, prepared for whatever changes or challenges may arise during your labor. We will cover everything from when to head to the hospital, to induction and augmentation methods, to pain management, to vaccine options, to newborn feeding and pacifier desires.
Private Comfort Measures Session (GREAT FOR PARTNERS!): $125
Birth partners are expected to support the birthing person through labor and birth, when often they've never even been at a birth before. When else in life are we asked to do such a monumental task, during such a momentous occasion, without any formal training? That's insanely intimidating! This 2-hour class is especially for birth partners (the birthing person is also welcome to attend). We'll build your confidence in caring for your partner during labor and birth as you learn how to utilize labor positions, breathing patterns, and massage techniques so that you can be the rock-solid partner they are depending on. This class is a must-do for spouses/partners, as well as grandmas, aunts, sisters, or anyone else who might be present at the birth. Cost is $100 and you're welcome to include however many people you'd like.
Birth Planning + Comfort Measures Package: $225
If you purchase both the birth planning session as well as the comfort measures session you'll receive both sessions (each as a separate two-hour session) for a discounted price.
